“Taking a Break with Jesus”
A Retreat for Caregivers of Elderly Family Members
and Caregivers of Adults with Physical Disabilities
These three-hour retreats of sharing, support and prayer will focus on the spiritual needs of caregivers who so often feel
overwhelmed by the stress of caring for an elderly or physically disabled loved one. Participants will have a time for
sharing the challenges they each face and joining together for a time of prayer.
“Jesus Is With Us”
A Retreat for Family Members of Adults with a Mental Illness
Each half-day retreat will be designed to reflect the specific needs of
the participants. All retreats will begin with the sharing of each
family’s story followed by a time for prayer and reflection. The
remainder of the retreat may include expanded time for prayer and
sharing or exploring how music, art and poetry can support their faith
in a time of great challenge.
“Jesus Hears Our Prayers”
An On-Site Two-Hour Retreat for Adults With Mental Illness
This short retreat can be held at mental health facilities, residential programs, hospitals, board and care homes or churches.
It is designed for adult believers with a mature faith as well as those whose relationship with Jesus is just beginning.
This is an uplifting and fun retreat where participants have the chance to express their faith through music, dance,
art and prayer. They will come away with the assurance that they are all loved by Jesus and that their unique faith
journey is both understood and valued.

“I remain in awe and admiration of Cindy’s commitment and
compassion for people less fortunate. Through her writings and presentations, she offers us unique insights --
developed over decades of observation and practice -- into the challenges faced by people with psychiatric disabilities.”

"From
the very beginning of the retreat, we all felt such a connection and a
love for one another, with Christ as our center. And Cindy was such a
compassionate facilitator, helping us to get to know one another and
encouraging us to share our stories and our needs as caregivers. It was
an awesome time."
